The Company is seeking a VP for its Business Credit Office Center of Excellence within the Institutional Clients Group. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the implementation of a modern, end-to-end operating model, with a focus on the first-line credit management office. This role is key to ensuring exemplary risk management and control standards across the credit and capital management process. The VP will be responsible for a portfolio of clients, leading the team in credit structuring, analysis, and monitoring, and will be the single control point for all credit management tasks. Strategic thinking, innovation, and strong stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to drive the adoption of technology and continuous improvement initiatives. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in credit and capital management, with a strong background in managing loan portfolios. A Chartered Accountant, Master's in business, finance, economics, or equivalent is required, with additional professional qualifications such as CFA or Chartered Banker being desirable. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in leading and managing senior stakeholders, expertise in credit risk management, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The VP will also be responsible for talent management, performance, and succession planning, and must foster a culture of compliance and continuous learning within the team. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships, influence effectively, and represent the business in various management committees is crucial.
