Vice President, Legal Operations

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Legal Operations to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in legal operations, particularly in the areas of contracting, strategic transactions, and legal support for corporate growth initiatives. This role is pivotal in providing practical, business-focused legal guidance and will initially focus on strengthening and scaling the company's contracting operations. The VP will also be responsible for supporting a range of strategic initiatives, including partnering agreements, licensing transactions, and targeted acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, a minimum of 12 years' relevant healthcare compliance experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or life sciences industry, and a proven track record in effecting organizational change. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Legal Operations include leading the company's contracting function, serving as the lead legal advisor for strategic transactions, and developing a vision for a best-in-class legal and compliance function that leverages technology. The role requires excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while driving execution. The candidate should be adept at building and maintaining strong relationships, both within the organization and with external parties, and have a strong problem-solving mindset. Direct leadership and team management experience are essential, as is the ability to work effectively across functions and at all levels of the organization. Preferred qualifications include experience in SEC filings, compliance, and capital markets transactions.
