Interim Head of Contracts

The Company is seeking a Head of Contracts to lead a subteam responsible for the management of a multi-billion EPCC contract, ensuring the safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of the project. The successful candidate will also contribute to the establishment of a Major Projects Contract Center of Expertise and the development of a strong supply, contract, and procurement skill pool. This role is pivotal in a mega LNG capital project environment, demanding a high level of professional conduct, the ability to work under significant time pressure, and the skill to negotiate with multiple parties. The Head of Contracts will be accountable for providing commercial and contracting direction, maintaining close relationships with management and functional teams, and driving the implementation of best-in-class contract and project execution standards. Applicants for the Head of Contracts position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business, law, or engineering, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role within multi-billion lump sum major energy projects. The role requires a candidate with strong influencing, business, and risk acumen, as well as the ability to write well-documented commercial correspondences and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. The Head of Contracts will be expected to work in a highly visible project environment, support the management of claims, and contribute to the digital transformation of major projects.
