Greater Fort Collins, CO Area (Headquarter location)
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Development to lead and oversee major and principal gift fundraising activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to the comprehensive development program, ensuring that fundraising efforts align with the company's goals and priorities. This role involves supervising a senior-level team, developing annual and multi-year fundraising strategies, and maintaining strong partnerships with deans, VPs, and unit leaders. The Vice President will also be a key member of the Executive Leadership team, participating in broader divisional and campaign planning, and will be expected to carry a portfolio of high-capacity prospects. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 10 years' of development leadership experience, and a proven track record of success in major and principal gift fundraising. The role requires the ability to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends, and to travel as needed. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, CFRE certification, and experience with CRM and donor management systems. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a strong donor-centric approach, and a collaborative leadership style. Responsibilities also include budget management, and the role demands a high level of organizational and leadership skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage a large team.
