The Company is seeking a General Counsel to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the first in-house lawyer, responsible for building and leading the legal function. This role is pivotal in shaping the company's legal strategy and execution, with a focus on commercial and partnership agreements, consumer-facing policies, disputes, regulatory and compliance matters, M&A, and government affairs. The General Counsel will also be involved in employee relations and equity administration, and must be prepared to operate in a fast-paced, national-scale business environment. Applicants must have a JD and active bar membership, with a minimum of 8 years' legal experience, including at least 3 years in an in-house role. The ideal candidate will have a background in a regulated industry, commercial contracting, and cross-functional counseling, particularly in a lean or early-stage environment. The role requires the ability to operate independently, build a legal function from the ground up, and manage outside counsel effectively.
