About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for its Life Sciences team, with a focus on biopharma and therapeutic areas. The successful candidate will be a key player in the deal-making process, leveraging their scientific and clinical expertise to lead the diligence on assets and platforms. This includes assessing the mechanism of action, target validation, clinical data, development risk, and the competitive landscape. The role demands the ability to translate scientific judgment into commercial and valuation outputs, and to own the scientific narrative in client and investor materials. The Vice President will also be involved in supporting M&A, licensing, and financing mandates, as well as contributing to business development and relationship building with various stakeholders in the life sciences industry. Applicants for the Vice President position should have a minimum of 5 years' of relevant experience in biopharma investment banking, equity research, corporate or business development, life sciences strategy consulting, or venture and crossover investing. Deep scientific fluency in therapeutic areas or modalities is essential, as is the ability to independently read and interrogate clinical data. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in building and defending asset-level valuation and forecasting models, and experience in leading and developing deal or project teams. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in the life sciences or an MBA, and must demonstrate maturity, attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
