Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer who wants to work at an agile startup that leverages a unique crowdsourced approach and advanced technology to offer a differentiated & proprietary service to a highly engaged community of business influencers. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you’ll be working with our growing team of talented engineers to scale and monetize our premium service.
Responsibilities

- Architect & build machine learning algorithms to generate recommendations based on a member’s qualifications & previous interactions with ExecThread
- Develop new features to increase member retention
- Write fast and scalable backend code
- Participate in the process of integrating new APIs
- Mentor and guide other technical team members in all project activities
- Participate in code reviews & pairing
- Leverage best practices in continuous integration and delivery
Skills & Requirements
- 6+ years of software architecture and development experience
- Proven track record of pushing high-quality, reliable machine learning projects into production
- Proficient in browser rendering behavior and performance, asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, HTTP, CORS, and AJAX
- Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6)
- Familiarity with GIT & pull-request processes (we use git-flow)
- Familiarity with the NodeJS, MongoDB, Angular and React is a plus
- Prior start-up experience is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
