Vice President, Internal Audit, Operational Risk

The Company is in search of a Vice President for Internal Audit - Operational Risk. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a background in financial services, particularly in internal audit or extensive second-line experience in operational risk as it pertains to investment banking. This role is pivotal in leading EMEA audit coverage for operational risk and supporting global assurance activities. The Vice President will be responsible for the development, planning, and execution of assurance work, including audits, continuous monitoring, and closure verification. They will also be involved in assessing and monitoring the impact of global assurance activities on the EMEA region, maintaining audit risk assessments, and providing EMEA-specific insights for the annual audit plan. Applicants should have at least 6 years' relevant experience, with advanced knowledge of industry, global markets, and regulations. The role requires a strong understanding of audit principles, methodology, tools, and processes, as well as the ability to articulate risk and impact clearly to different audiences. Effective change and project management skills, the ability to leverage and analyze data for risk assessment, and a proven track record of coaching and mentoring to create an inclusive work environment are essential. The Vice President will be expected to partner with colleagues and stakeholders globally, execute the audit plan, and maintain ongoing communication with senior management, external stakeholders, and regulators.
