Chief of Staff, Building & Land Development Services Greater New York City, NY Area

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to support the leadership of a division providing design, engineering, environmental planning, and construction services for affordable housing development. The role involves managing and evaluating operational, policy, and strategic initiatives, tracking progress, and aligning divisional work with broader organizational priorities. The Chief of Staff will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, represent the division in cross-organizational projects, and assess how proposed policies or legislation may affect project pipelines and services. Responsibilities also include developing reports and tracking tools, supporting data management and analysis, responding to inquiries, and handling time-sensitive operational and policy requests. Candidates should have management experience and a bachelor’s or graduate degree in urban planning, public administration, architecture, construction management, or a related field; technical skills and affordable housing development experience are strongly preferred. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required, along with sound judgment, the ability to manage complex processes and competing tasks, and the capacity to work independently. Knowledge of affordable housing or capital projects, design and construction processes, architectural drawings, and zoning or building codes is an advantage. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected, while data visualization experience is a plus.
