Interim Head of PDU Greater Windsor, Canada Area

The Company is seeking a Head of PDU to lead staff, resources, and operational delivery within a local or functional unit. The role includes setting local strategies, managing budgets and competing priorities, overseeing middle managers, and improving performance and service quality. The postholder will represent the organization in partnerships, advise on complex offender-management and public-protection decisions, and oversee complaints, safeguarding, health and safety, and related operational responsibilities. They will also contribute to strategic planning and national projects, manage organizational change, and deputize for senior leadership when required. Candidates should have significant middle-management experience across at least two settings, including substantial staff leadership, performance improvement, budget control, and strategic resource planning. They should demonstrate experience managing projects and change, building stakeholder relationships, preparing senior-level reports, delivering presentations, and making complex risk-management decisions under pressure. Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, collaboration, and service-delivery skills are essential, along with knowledge of health and safety, equality, the wider criminal justice system, and effective practice in managing risk and reducing reoffending. Where the role includes line management of offender-supervision or risk-management teams, a recognized probation qualification or equivalent is required.
