Head of Purchasing

The Company is seeking a Head of Purchasing to lead operational and strategic procurement across its organization. Responsibilities include developing an internationally distributed team, harmonizing purchasing activities and standards, and leading negotiations on framework agreements, pricing, and delivery terms. The role also involves strengthening supplier management, identifying savings opportunities, overseeing material flows and inventory, and improving procurement transparency and lean processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with management and internal stakeholders and provide regular updates to senior leadership. Candidates should have completed commercial training, hold a business-related degree, or possess a comparable qualification, along with several years of international purchasing experience in an industrial setting. Management experience and the ability to lead distributed teams are required; experience sourcing technical components or electronic parts is an advantage. Applicants should bring strong negotiation, supplier management, contract law, and analytical skills, as well as initiative, communication, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility. Good written and spoken English and a willingness to travel occasionally are also required.
