Head of Legal Affairs

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal Affairs to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal and compliance matters, with a focus on domestic and international contract law, governance system construction, IPO preparation, and compliance system operation. This role involves leading a legal team and contributing to the overall legal level of the organization. Key responsibilities include the review, drafting, legal advice, and negotiation of contracts and important documents, as well as the planning and promotion of policies to ensure compliance with various laws and regulations. The Head of Legal Affairs will also be involved in the development and implementation of company-wide policies for the protection of confidential and personal information, legal consultation, and business efficiency improvement through the use of legal tech. Applicants for the Head of Legal Affairs position at the company should have a Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent legal background, with a preference for those holding a lawyer's license. A minimum of 10 years' legal practice experience, particularly in the manufacturing sector, is required, along with a proven track record in human resource management within a legal department. The role demands expertise in reading, drafting, and negotiating contracts in both English and Japanese, as well as the ability to autonomously and proactively communicate for the optimization of the organization. Experience in legal operations related to various industry laws, responding to listing examinations, and leading cross-border deals is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal tech and a history of improving operational efficiency through its implementation.
