Executive Director of Budget & Financial Planning

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Budget and Financial Planning to provide strategic leadership in the management of various financial and business operational units. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of all college budgets, including those from diverse funding sources. This role involves formulating, preparing, and monitoring annual financial plans, overseeing internal and external financial audits, and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting and regulatory requirements. The Executive Director will also be tasked with setting financial policies, providing financial analyses for resource allocation, and recommending strategies to help the college achieve its financial objectives. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years' related experience, with a preference for those with a strong background in higher education finance. The role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to think innovatively about financial matters. The Executive Director will be expected to recruit, motivate, and supervise a team of planning and budget professionals, and to represent the college in various committees. Experience with financial software solutions, particularly CUNYfirst (PeopleSoft) finance modules, is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of accomplishment in managerial and leadership roles and be committed to the mission and values of the college.
