Associate Vice President of Accounting Operations

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Accounting Operations to provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of accounting strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's mission and business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, including general ledger management, cash accounting, financial close processes, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and reports. This role also involves maintaining robust internal controls, driving process optimization, and leading a high-performing accounting team. The AVP will be a key player in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, and will be expected to have a strong background in GAAP, regulatory compliance, and experience in a complex, preferably healthcare, environment. Candidates for the AVP position must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, and a minimum of 10 years' progressive accounting experience, with at least 7 years in a management or executive leadership role. Technical skills in accounting software and a proven track record in leadership, communication, and change management are essential. The role requires a high level of integrity, a commitment to ethical conduct, and the ability to think strategically and drive operational excellence. Familiarity with healthcare industry operations and regulatory requirements, including Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA, is a significant advantage. The ideal candidate will be adept at stakeholder engagement, risk management, and leading special projects, and will be comfortable in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
