Associate Vice President, System Development Manager, Data Platform Greater Shenzhen, China Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, System Development Manager, Data Platform to design, build, and operate critical platform subsystems, taking major components from initial design through production and ongoing improvement. Responsibilities include managing streaming, batch processing, storage, query-serving, and orchestration systems, while improving platform reliability and performance. The role also covers observability, Kubernetes operations, and CI/CD and GitOps deployments. The successful candidate will participate in on-call support, document incidents and operational procedures, and mentor engineers through collaboration and code reviews. Applicants should have at least six years of experience in data or platform engineering, with strong Kubernetes, Kafka, and Spark skills and practical experience with Iceberg, Trino or Presto, and an OLAP engine. Proficiency in Python and either Scala or Java is required, along with experience in streaming pipelines, workflow orchestration using Airflow or Dagster, and CI/CD and GitOps tools. Familiarity with Helm, Docker, and production infrastructure operations is also expected. Experience with OpenShift, dbt, data quality frameworks, stream-processing tools, or data discovery and lineage platforms is an advantage.
