Vice President, Regulatory Reporting

The Company is in search of a Regulatory Reporting Vice President to spearhead reporting initiatives across Japan and Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading regulatory transaction reporting activities, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements, and driving operational excellence. This role involves close collaboration with business, compliance, technology, and operations teams to influence strategic regulatory initiatives in a dynamic international environment. Key responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders to interpret regulatory requirements, supporting regulatory change initiatives, and building strong relationships with regulators and industry groups. The role also requires mentoring and supporting team members to foster a high-performing and inclusive working environment. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in regulatory reporting, operations, compliance, business management, or related control functions within financial services. Experience with financial products, transaction reporting, and supporting regulatory, operational, or technology-driven change initiatives is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as outstanding stakeholder management and communication abilities. A business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is required, with a preference for candidates with experience in an investment bank or global financial institution and knowledge of Japanese and Asian regulatory reporting frameworks. Familiarity with regulatory reporting systems, data governance, and process automation is also a plus.
