Executive Director, Foundation Remote (anywhere in Alaska) + 1 more

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to guide a growing foundation and advance its mission, vision, and strategic goals. The role includes developing and executing strategic plans, overseeing daily operations and staff, and designing programs that expand scholarship, grantmaking, and other opportunities. The Executive Director will manage budgets and endowment strategy, oversee scholarship application reviews, and ensure effective policies, compliance, and reporting. Responsibilities also include leading fundraising and donor relations, building partnerships, engaging with communities, and collaborating with the board and executive leadership. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree is preferred, though comparable experience may substitute. At least eight years of administrative experience, including four years with managerial responsibilities involving budgeting and supervision, and four years working with Alaska Native communities or populations are required. Preferred qualifications include executive-level nonprofit experience, grant writing and fundraising experience, and demonstrated success in donor relations. The role calls for strong knowledge of Iñupiat culture and Alaska Native Corporations, along with leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Candidates should also understand nonprofit governance and compliance, be proficient with Microsoft Office, and demonstrate discretion and a commitment to education and community development.
