Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Greater Jacksonville, FL Area

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its accounting and finance, payroll, and HRIS functions and serve as a strategic partner to organizational leadership. The CFO will oversee accounting operations, treasury, budgeting, accounts payable, payroll, and financial planning and analysis, while ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining effective financial systems, internal controls, and budget processes; supporting grant development; and coordinating external audits. The role also ensures compliance with applicable reporting requirements and leads projects that advance organizational priorities. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with an accounting concentration and at least 10 years of accounting experience; a related master’s degree is preferred. A CPA license is required, along with knowledge of GAAP, auditing, financial systems, and relevant regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, communication, time-management, and project-management skills, with the ability to guide teams, manage multiple initiatives, and implement systemic improvements. They should also demonstrate sound business judgment and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners.
