Senior Vice President, Government Affairs Greater London, United Kingdom Area

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Government Affairs to lead engagement with policymakers in Ireland and Northern Ireland and represent public policy interests related to financial markets across the UK and EU. The role involves developing and executing political engagement and advocacy strategies, building relationships between senior business leaders and government officials, and representing the organization with public institutions, trade associations, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will assess legislative and geopolitical developments, advise business leaders on their implications, and prepare executive briefings and advocacy materials. They will also coordinate strategy across teams and geographies and represent the organization at external events. A bachelor’s degree is required, with an advanced degree preferred, along with extensive government affairs or related experience in government, a corporation, a trade association, or another business organization. Candidates should have experience with banking and financial services policy, a strong understanding of Irish, UK, and EU political and legislative environments, and established relationships with Irish policymakers; UK and EU connections are also preferred. The role requires experience engaging senior business and government leaders and working effectively with coalitions and external partners. Excellent written and spoken English, strong political insight and business acumen, and the ability to turn political analysis into effective advocacy are essential.
