Executive Director Greater Portland, OR Area

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to guide its strategic direction, external leadership, financial sustainability, and organizational health. The role includes implementing the strategic plan, setting priorities and allocating resources, and building trust across a diverse coalition of members and partners. The Executive Director will represent the organization in policy, regulatory, and community settings; strengthen member relationships; and lead efforts to retain members and diversify revenue. Responsibilities also include developing the leadership team, sustaining a collaborative workplace culture, and partnering with the boards on governance, strategy, and fundraising. Strong candidates will bring credible knowledge of the renewable energy sector and an understanding of how policy, regulation, markets, and project development interact. They should have experience building coalitions across differing interests, influencing policy or regulatory outcomes, and adapting to changing political environments. Demonstrated strategic leadership and success developing managers and cohesive teams are essential. Experience in revenue development, nonprofit operations, board partnership, and building trust with rural and Tribal communities is valued; prior Executive Director experience is not required.
